- Biography/History:
- Zebi Hirsch Perlmann, romanized Tsevi Hirsh ben Barukh Perlman, was a 19th-century Lithuanian Talmudist; born in Kaluszyn, Poland, later of Jerusalem; author of Netiv ha-yashar (Warsaw, 1879).

- Letter written on blue onionskin paper, written in a Lithuanian cursive script; autograph and postscript below letter.
- Letter dated ʻerev Shabat Ḳoraḥ [1870], additionally dated 'Hosea IV' ("בהושע ד', ו' עש"ק קרח, בייאלעסטאק") to Zebi Hirsch Perelmann, then sojourning in Slutsk (he resettled from Lithuania to Jerusalem about this time), notifying him that manuscripts containing writings of Elijah ben Solomon (the Vilna Gaon) were previously sent and requests that they are published (Perelmann published them in Jerusalem during the upcoming years: Yad Eliyahu (Buchhandlung Jeruschalmi E. Landau, [1882]), and Ḳol Eliyahu (printed after Perelmann died in 1905).
- Postscript of requesting the addressee share regards to Joseph Baer Soloveichik [in Slutsk] ("מו"ר הגאון הצדיק שר התורה מאור הגולה, כש"ת מו"ה יוסף דובער הלוי ני"ו ויופיע לנצח"; author of (responsa) Sheʼelot u-teshuvot Bet Ha-levi, and an outstanding rabbinical figure in Lithuania.
