- This work focuses on the interdisciplinary analysis of the metallurgical remains from the Tell Çukuriçi HoÌyuÌk (Western Turkey), dating from the Late Chalcolithic to the Early Bronze Age (c. 3300-2700 BC). The rich ensemble of finds includes almost all parts of the technological chain (chaiÌne opeÌratoire), from ore, raw metal, ingots to finished products, tin bronze and precious metals, everything is present. A concluding holistic view makes it possible to gain in-depth knowledge on the metal craft and its embedding in Early Bronze Age exchange and societal systems.
- Diese Arbeit fokussiert auf die interdisziplinaÌre Aufarbeitung der spaÌtchalkolitisch bis fruÌhbronzezeitlich (ca. 3300-2700 v. Chr.) datierten metallurgischen Funde vom Çukuriçi HoÌyuÌk, einem Tell in der WesttuÌrkei. Das reichhaltige Fundensemble umfasst nahezu saÌmtliche Teile der Technologiekette (chaiÌne opeÌratoire), vom Erz, Werkzeugen, Rohmetall und Barren bis hin zu Fertigprodukten, Zinnbronze und Edelmetalle ist alles vorhanden. Eine abschlieÃende holistische Betrachtung ermoÌglicht es, ein vertiefendes Bild uÌber das Metallhandwerks und seine Einbettung in fruÌhbronzezeitliche Austausch- und Gesellschaftssysteme zu gewinnen.
