- "For more than fifty years, art historian Anderw Wahlgren has been fascinated by the paintings of Otto G Carlsund. The Swede travelled to Paris in 1924 to study under Fernand Léger. A few years later, Carlsund painted a series of large works for a movie theatre. These sytlised motifs from the world of cinema were highly original. Over the years, sholars have had different theories about these amazing works. It has been said that they were intended for a movie theatre, designed by the architect Le Corbusier, but neither the drawings nor evidence of this exist"--Dust jacket.
