Summary:

The educational modules workshops 5 and 15 directed by the architect Juvenal Baracco teach architectural design at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Universidad Ricardo Palma as academic chairs where knowledge and methods are taught to perceive, understand and propose architectural structures, according to the synthesis of thought developed by students and tutors. The Taller 15 was introduced in the reform of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism in 1975, as the main axis for the teaching of Architectural Design, and the Taller 5 It was included in 1998, in the first two basic semesters of the career. This workshop hosts around 180 students per semester and is led by a team of 16 tenured professors and seven assistants in 16-week semesters. In the 50 years of uninterrupted activity, the workshop has become a center for teaching and research in architectural design. Progressively, it has evolved to its current form, with routines, methods and its own pedagogical organization, as well as a high academic level recognized inside and outside the country
