- DeCarbon serves as a leading international platform for disseminating major scientific breakthroughs and notable technological advances in renewable energy, the environment, advanced materials, and sustainable development. It serves as a forum for multi- and inter-disciplinary approaches that tackle the grand challenges and hurdles on the path to net-zero carbon emissions, efficient energy storage and conversion, energy harvesting and utilization, a clean environment and long-term sustainability. It covers a broad spectrum of activities, including fundamental science, applied research, technological development and applications of new energy, environmental protection, functional materials and green manufacturing. Papers addressing policy, the techno-economics of decarbonization and closed-loop economies are also welcome. DeCarbon is an open access journal published jointly by Elsevier and Chongqing University.
