Summary:
Film mixes fictional scenes with a documentary interview with 95-year-old Lucie Skladanowsky, daughter of the late Max Skladanowsky, to recreate the exploits of the Brothers Skladanowsky, three fairground showmen/inventors who created their own movie camera at the same time that the Lumière's and Edison were working on their inventions. Some of the footage is shot with a 1920s hand cranking camera, in the style of silent films.
