Summary:
Long ago, humans wherever they lived were all at least semi-nomadic hunter-gatherers. Today, South America's Yanomami are the last surviving large group of semi-nomadic hunting and gathering people. In this documentary film, the filmmakers reconstruct the history of one contemporary Venezuelan Yanomami village during the two decades from 2000 to 2020. For these villagers and their world, the challenges of compressing changes, which elsewhere took thousands of years, into just two decades have created dramatic conflicts. Many of these conflicts remain unresolved right up to today.
