Summary:
Library reader's ticket filled out and signed by Thomas Carlyle, of the type designed by Anthony Panizzi after he became Keeper of the Printed Books in 1837. The title requested is Cervantes' Don Quixote, printed in Madrid in 1797, D. Juan Antonio Pellicer edition. The ticket is dated April 27th, but is lacking the year. Reader guidelines are printed on the verso.
