Summary:
Jalisco has contributed significantly to the construction of national identity; tequila, charro and mariachi are icons of "Lo Mexicano" abroad, and these goods, along with other cultural expressions such as the Paisaje Agavero de Tequila, the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro or the Romería de la Virgen de Zapopan, have been recognized for their uniqueness and contribution, as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In this book, architect Ignacio Gómez Arriola, an expert in cultural heritage, refers to those sites that are a contribution of Jalisco to the world and what are the value criteria to determine the place worthy of this distinction.
