Summary:
The Preparatoria Jalisco is a public high school institution, founded in 1914, as it is known today, and belongs to the Universidad de Guadalajara. Since 1925, the school has been part of the historical and architectural capital of the University. The authors recount when it was built, its geographical location, its costs and materials, its purposes over time until reaching the functions it fulfills from the triumph of the Mexican Revolution to the present. There is also talk about its murals, which record the recent history of the University; its courtyards, its architectural strength, as one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. The story includes the type of education that young people received (initially it was for men) through the subjects that were taught.
