The book, which comprises photographs by Evandro Teixeira, is the result of research conducted by Ester Figueiredo in Teixeira's photographic work. The proposal is to reveal a less explored perspective of the photographer's work, recognized worldwide for his photojournalistic work at crucial moments in history and global events, such as the Olympic Games. The incursion reveals an original framing that highlights the presence of childhood in the daily rural life of Canudos (Bahia, Brazil), offering an authentic vision devoid of romanticization. In addition to the photographs, the work has the artistic contribution of Silvio Jessé, whose paintings complete the visual narrative proposed by Teixeira.
