Summary:

The collection includes articles based on reports presented at the meeting of the section "Ethnopedagogy as a factor in preserving the ethnocultural heritage of the peoples of the country and a means of forming civic consciousness and national identity", held within the framework of the XV Congress of Ethnologists and Anthropologists of Russia (St. Petersburg, June 27. 2023 g.) with the participation of scientists from Abakan, Vladikavkaz. Gorno-Altaisk, Yoshkar-Ola, Moscow, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Sterlitamak, Cheboksary, Yakutsk. The authors highlight the specifics of the ethnology of childhood and the ethnopedagogical features of the traditional culture of education among various peoples, examining the experimentally identified patterns and results of using this rich layer of ethnocultural heritage in the process of teaching and educational work at various stages of the educational cycle. The issues of ethnocultural determinism of education in Russia are analyzed, the significance of the scientific and pedagogical heritage of Academician G.N. Volkov, who created the scientific ethnopedagogical school, is considered.
