- Biography/History:
- Jekutiel Zalman Graubart (in Hebrew: יקותיאל זלמן גרויברט) studied in the Yeshiva of Radin (Radun, Belarus, under Israel Meir Kagan and Naftali Trop) was rabbi in Będzin, Poland, after he assumed the rabbinate from his father, Issachar Berisz Graubart (see: Sefer Sosnovits ṿeha-sevivah be-Zaglembiyah, v.1, p. 483); he emigrated to the United States in 1920, and was a rabbi in Brooklyn and afterward in Los Angeles; died 1941. His uncle was Yehuda Leib Graubart (1862-1937), formerly rabbi in Staszow, Poland, thereafter a rabbi in Toronto, Ontario.

- Manuscript sermons delivered in Będzin, annotated and edited; a sermon about the Sabbath (f. 2r-4r, with another note on f. 8v), on Jewish faith (f. 9r-11v), charity (f. 12r-v), Shavuʻot (f. 13r-18r, and another on f. 32r-33v), Shabat Naḥamu (the Sabbath immediately following the 9th of Av; f. 19r), "Schofar" (for Rosh ha-Shanah; f. 20r, and for Rosh ha-Shanah 5677 [1916] on f. 22r), Shabat Shuvah (f.23r-24v), a sermon decrying the contemporary Jewish conditions (called "Ashrekhem Yiśraʼel"; f. 25r-27r, with a bibliography on f. 27v), Shemini Atseret (f. 28r-v), on the Yahrzeit of his father (Shabat Toledot 5677 [25 November 1916]; f. 29r-v), Shabat Ṿa-era combined with Shabat mevarkhim (f. 30r-v), a sermon on the outbreak of war (the First World War; f. 31r-v).
