- "Repairs on a floor of the second story of the Hermitage have led to the discovery of letters written by a contemporary of Pushkin's, the singer Praskovia (Polina) Barenova. Pushkin is known to have inscribed her album, Lermontov dedicated poems to her, and she played parts in Glinka's works. The letters refer to figures in the court of Nicholas I and make a new and valuable source on the period.
