Summary:
Three letters, two from 'S D' or 'J D', and one from Colette's sister Annie-Margarita, known as 'Madge'. The first two letters congratulate Colette on her engagement to Charles H Whitney and discuss marriage in general; the author proposes to give Colette an allowance after the wedding. The third, from Madge, discusses the estate of their recently deceased mother Sophie Dumaresq.

Philip Kearney Dumaresq and his wife Sophie had four children: Annie-Margarita 'Madge' (born 1875), Philip Kearney Jr. (born 1870), Lillian (born 1878) and Colette (born 1882). 'Phil' and 'Lily' are both mentioned in the final letter. Madge married William Otis Gay. Colette married Charles H Whitney.
