Margaret Perkins (1773-1856) married Ralph Bennet Forbes in 1799, and had three sons (Thomas Tunno, Robert Bennet, and John Murray) and four daughters (Emma Perkins, Margaret Perkins, Mary Abbot, and Cornelia Frances). Her husband died in 1824, and her eldest son Thomas Tunno was drowned five years later in a typhoon while working in Canton in the family business. Funds from both men's estates were used to build a home for Margaret and her daughters in Milton, Boston.
