Summary:
The first volume of a printed log book containing entries for Robinson's 1829 voyage from Boston to Monterey aboard the ship Brookline. Includes a few miscellaneous entries, recording a trip from Santa Barbara to Boston (December 1837), and entries written from Massachusetts and at sea en route to Monterey (1839 and 1840). Both this and the second volume contain pencil and watercolor sketches, of land and seascapes, and of a ship, possibly the Brookline.
