Summary:
The logbook of the ship Sultan details a voyage around the Marquesas Islands, French Polynesia (including Washington Island [Ua Huka], Nooaheeva [i.e. probably, Nuka Hiva], La Dominica, and Santa Christianna [i.e. Tahuata]) to Massa Turo [probably in French Polynesia] (June 1817 to Oct. 1817). It is a daily log that describes wind, weather, location, sightings of ships, shipboard occupations, indigenous Polynesians, and port activities.
