"The book "The road from the transit camp to the academy" describes my history and the history of my family, beginning on my birthday in the city of Kufa, a city of palms and the Fırat River, the path of immigrating to Israel with my family when I was 5 years old, the ropes of absorption in the Land of Israel in the 1950s, temporary service in the IDF, starting a family, integration into academia as a research doctor, educating generations of doctors, and director of an external eye clinic at the Rabin Medical Center - The Sharon Hospital in Petaḥ Tiḳṿah. I attribute what I built with "my ten fingers" to the credit of my wife Margalit zal and my supportive family, to devotion and belief in the righteousness of the path, to helping others and doing things for others' sake.
