"The question of the state's attitude towards the Haredi public has never been more topical. The "full right" coalition of the 37th government gave the Haredim unprecedented political power to advance their interests, but precisely because of this, Haredi conduct aroused widespread opposition and led to the demand to reopen arrangements that had been accepted for many years in the state's conduct regarding Haredim. The events of October 7 and the war that broke out in their wake strengthened this demand, after everyone saw with their own eyes how glaring and outrageous the inequality in the bloody cost of the war was. Rethinking the state's attitude towards Haredim requires discussing it from several aspects: social, economic, legal, and more.
