These are a collection of the names of the leading medieval Scottish secular clergy including the succession in the principal offices of the dioceses, cathedrals and collegiate foundations. Each includes the dates of appointment and death or resignation, and when these are unknown, reference are provided for the earliest and latest dates of occurrences which connect a holder with an office. The lists go back in time as far as datable evidence is available for the existence of each office.
