The author calls the genre of this book "a novel with decryption." The action takes place in 1938, during the period described in the 10th volume of the history of the Russian state 'The destruction and resurrection of the Empire' (Razrushenie i voskreshenie imperii). It is no coincidence that the covers of this book and that history are so similar. The fiction part is followed by the factual part, which allows the reader to understand where the line between fact and history lies: to find out what the author invented, and what really happened. It turns out that much of what seems like fiction is fact and the real people are no less amazing than the literary characters.
