- «Respekte Peyi d Ayiti» ranmase plizyè diskou Rektè Inivèsite Leta d Ayiti a pwononse nan divès sikonstans ofisyèl, soti lane 2021 rive 2024. Nan moman peyi a ap debat anba yon kriz kote l sanble l pa wè ni devan ni dèyè, Rektè a plonje nou nan pwofondè listwa pou nou chache lespwa. Li akonpaye pèp peyi Lagrès, peyi Libi, peyi Letyopi nan lit pou liberasyon yo. Li aboli lesklavaj de (2) fwa kay vwazen. E li pral kontinye goumen pou peyi sa a, Repiblik Dominikèn, rete yon Leta endepandan. Men tou, li peye sa chè. Ansyèn pwisans kolonyal yo izole l, mete l sou kote, sanksyone l. Peyi Lafrans pral fè l ba l yon gwo tonton sòm lajan l ap fin likide jouk sou gouvènman Estimé (1946-1950). Peyi Etazini pral okipe l pandan 19 lane (1915-1934). Ti krik ti krak, sitwayen ewopeyen, ameriken k ap viv sou teritwa nasyonal la ekzije konpansasyon pou byen yo pretann yo pèdi nan tirelobe ant sitwayen Ayisyen. Kidonk, Rektè a: Raple peyi nou te ede yo devwa solidarite, rekonesans ak resipwosite yo genyen pou peyi d Ayiti; Reklame restitisyon ak reparasyon nan men peyi Lafrans ak tout lòt peyi ki te mete n nan lesklavaj epi fè n peye, an gwo ponyèt, yon dividal lajan nou pa t dwe; Ankouraje pèp ayisyen an ranmase karaktè l, kole zepòl, chase move zè ki nan mitan nou pou n ranje peyi a.-- Back cover.
- Respecting the Country of Haiti" collects several speeches delivered by the Rector of the State University of Haiti in various official circumstances, from 2021 to 2024. At a time when the country is struggling under a crisis where it seems to see neither front nor back, the Rector immerses us in the depths of history to seek hope. Haiti is not a country without a shepherd. It is the first country to show solidarity with other nations in the region. It responded with presence for several nations in Latin America and the Caribbean when the question of their existence as independent countries was raised. It accompanied the people of Greece, Libya, and Ethiopia in their struggle for liberation. It abolished slavery twice in neighboring countries. And it will continue to fight for this country, the Dominican Republic, to remain an independent State. But it also paid a high price. Former colonial powers isolated it, sidelined it, and sanctioned it. France will make it pay a large sum of money that will be liquidated until the Estimé government (1946-1950). The United States will occupy it for 19 years (1915-1934). Little by little, European and American citizens living on national territory demand compensation for the assets they claim were lost in the trilobite between Haitian citizens. Therefore, the Rector: Reminds the countries Haiti has helped of their duty of solidarity, gratitude and reciprocity towards the country of Haiti; demand restitution and reparations from France and all other countries that have enslaved Haiti and made us pay, in large quantities, a portion of the money we did not owe; encourage the Haitian people to gather their character, stick together, and drive out the evil spirits in their midst to fix the country --Back cover; translated from Haitian Creole.
