"Made for the Carteret Book Club of Newark New Jersey in an edition of 200 copies, by Frederic and Bertha Goudy at the Village Press, Marlborough-on-Hudson, N.Y. ... set by Mrs. Goudy in 12 point 'Kaatskill' designed by Mr. Goudy, with type cast from matrices cut by them especially for this work. Also the 'Deepdene' italics were designed by Mr. Goudy. Printed in June, 1930."--Colophon.
The author lived "on the western slope of the 'first mountain' about a mile west of Eagle Rock," and the diary contains many references to persons and events in Orange, New Jersey, the nearest town.
Illustrated head- and tailpiece. Pages ruled in red throughout.
