- Summary:
- Photographer Gladys Alvarado Jourde recorded through a series of color images the state of nine Lima historic buildings that were constructed during colonial times and during the Republic. Due to depopulation from the fifties of downtown Lima, were all of them gradually uninhabited until they were completely abandoned. Some of these former mansions were later occupied by people who migrated from the countryside to the city of Lima. The author took the photographs between 2009 and 2018, and from that date until today some of these buildings have been remodeled, as part of the rescue program Programa para la Recuperación del Centro Histórico de Lima (Prolima).
