Summary:

This book presents a selection of black and white photographs of the archaeological site of Puruchuco (a Quechua word that means "feathered hat"), an archaeological site in Peru that was an administrative center of the Inca period (1440-1532), located in the Ate District, in Lima. The photographs show architect Rodrigo Amorós Figueroa's (Lima, 1967) personal vision of the archaelogical site, and who tried to capture the essence of the place, its materiality and its strength. Timeless images, acromatic and without human presence. At the beginning, some topics inherent to the archaeological site are developed, such as its meaning, origin, discovery and architecture. The book presents the photographs organized in three ideas through an architectural-photographic concept: Light & Shadow, Light & Volume, Light & Space. Light of Puruchuco is finally a photographic vision of a special place, unique and with its own light.
