Born in Argentina and naturalized Uruguayan, Ricardo Pickenhayn Mazzoni (1960) has developed his plastic artwork around Constructive Universalism, being a disciple of two of the founders of the Taller Torres-García. Author also of "Nadayave, metafísica del Arte Universal" (2018), this second book continues an incisive investigation that goes from the origins of art to contemporary artistic regimes, circuits and details with a profound analyzes of the artistic heritage of master artist Joaquín Torres García's and its contemporary reinterpretation 150 years after his birth. Together with his wife, the artist Nicole Vanderhoeght, they both created the Centro para el Desarrollo de un Arte Holístico (Cedartes), in the field of San Carlos, Uruguay.
