- Summary:
- The collectanea from David ben Abraham Oppenheim's Nikolsburg (today Mikulov, Czech Republic) rabbinical archive, in a 19th century copy from the amanuensis manuscript codex; the original was executed by Mordekhai ben Menaḥem Menke of Leipnik in the year 5455, or 1694/1695 (title page: "על ידי הכותב מרדכי בא"א כהר"ר מנחם ; יכונה מענקי שליט"א מק"ק לייפניק... נכתב פה ניקלשפורג לפרט כ'ת'ב' י'ו'שר ד'ב'רי א'מת לפ"ק"; Leipnik today is Lipník nad Bečvou, Czech Republic). Beginning with Oppenheim's recommendation from Aaron ben Moses Teomim, Worms, 1684 (f. 3r-v) and Isaac Benjamin Wolf ben Eliezer Lipman, Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Poland (f. 4r-v), followed by the text of Oppenheim's solicitation for hire, rabbinical contract, position stipulations, a table of three jurisdictions under the Moravian chief rabbinate (f. 15v, and a later version on f. 25v), extensions of request for presiding over rabbinical courts, extensions of contract, solicitation for conferences, and includes Oppenheim's extension of contract from Moravia to Brest-Litovsk (f. 33v-35r). The final portion includes Oppenheim's works (f. 63r-65r), his appointments of communal dignitaries and functionaries, and finally Oppenheim's appointment document to the rabbinate in Prague, and the Beth Din in Vilnius (f. 81r-82v).
