- Summary:
- In an era of digital misinformation, cartoonists remain crucial voices of clarity, cutting through social media noise, populism, and fake news. DRAW FOR CHANGE! is a six-part series spotlighting female cartoonists from Mexico, India, Russia, Syria, Egypt, and the USA. Each episode, directed by a notable female filmmaker, explores how these artists' drawings affect lives, blending documentary with animation. From Syria's Amany Al-Ali, who critiques both Assad forces and extremists, to India's Rachita Taneja, who risks prison for her art, these women draw as a form of rebellion. Despite threats, they persist, impacting their societies through fearless creativity.
