Summary:
Learn advanced SQL techniques for marketing analytics, and apply them to real-world cases using a custom-built ecommerce database.
MySQL is a powerful tool for managing and analyzing relational databases, and a skill that every analyst and BI professional should have in the arsenal. In this course, learn advanced MySQL techniques and apply them to real-world business challenges using a unique, custom-built ecommerce database. Instructor John Pauler starts by introducing the course project, installing the tools you'll need to access your database, and reviewing the core SQL skills that you should be comfortable with before starting the course, including SELECT statements, aggregate functions, and table joins. From there, work through a number of analytics deep dives, including traffic analysis and optimization, website measurement and testing, channel mix, product performance, user analysis, and more. For each topic, John introduces the business concept, reviews the SQL tools that you'll be applying, and then jumps straight into hands-on exercises and course projects. Note: This course was created by John Pauler and Maven Analytics. We are pleased to host this training in our library.
