- Summary:
- For the eighth consecutive year, Galería Pasaje 17 has published a book by a prominent figure in contemporary Argentine art. This time, it is a volume dedicated to the work of Silvia Gurfein (Buenos Aires, 1959), in which we try to capture part of her broad and varied career. Jimena Ferreiro, who in her introductory words reveals and introduces us to the various paths taken by Silvia, as she explains in her text when referring to the dizzying era of the 80s and 90s of which she was an active and prominent part: "... the voracity of that young culture, of which she was an important part, led her to be an actress, singer, performer, photographer, but also a cook and an assistant in an art gallery, among so many other part-time occupations that supported her material and libidinal economy." --page 131.
