- Summary:
- Fank Lloyd Wright was one of the 20th century architectural leading figures with an important impact in the 20th century modern architecture. He introduced the word 'organic' into his philosophy of architecture as early as 1908. The present book is a study of the topics related to historical research of the recent past, although the main theme is fundamentally focused on the single-family homes produced by three local architects based on the concept of the "organic" architecture, defined by their spatial distribution, their relationship with the urban and natural environment and the needs of the client. The author proposes a new look at the works of Carlos Lenci, Vicente Krause and Rubén Pesci: "Three representatives of different moments and different ways of approaching the evanescent world of Organicism. A movement that is difficult to pigeonhole but that is understandable to the extent that the author places it within the Argentine coordinates and the particular condition of the Universidad de La Plata, at a time when the city experienced a stage of expansion, which later during the 20th century was not repeated again." --translated from page 4.
