- Be part of this magnificent recital captured at the Baden-Baden festival in 2023 that reunites two of the greatest voices in opera, Jonas Kaufmann and Ludovic Tézier, to sing some of the best known arias and duets from the operatic repertoire that has played a pivotal role in both of their careers respectively. The pair are accompanied by the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern led by Jochen Rieder. The programme consists of duos from the great operas of Verdi: La forza del destino, I vespri siciliani, and Otello in which the singers’ great, dramatic voices flourish. “With Ludovic Tézier I can use all of my voice” explains Jonas Kaufmann, “notably in our scenes together from La forza where our voices intertwine, passing through one another”. The composer Amilcare Ponchielli also features in the concert with dramatic arias from his opera La Gioconda. Some magical moments from the orchestra punctuate this recital perfectly.
