- Summary:
- Performing live at the Jazz en Tête Festival, in Clermont-Ferrand, France, Mark Guiliana and his quartet perform a collection of compositions and arrangements from the well-established American drummer. Playing with legendary jazz artists, such as Brad Meldhau and Gretchen Parlato, as well as greats in other genres, most notably David Bowie, Guiliana's vast experience as a band leader and sideman are on full display in this live performance. Joining Guiliana in this concert, the quartet is composed of Jason Rigby on Saxophone, Jasper Høiby on Bass, and Jason Lindner, a long time collaborator of Guiliana’s, on piano. All four musicians play with such confidence and perform a set of snappy, groovy tunes: the product of many years of playing together as an ensemble.
