Summary:
"This book features a selection from Yosef Ohman's personal photographic archive. Born in Argentina in 1938, Ohman was a member of HaShomer HaTzair chapter in Buenos Aires and a disciple of Che Guevara. Since he arrived in Israel and joined Kibbutz Harel in 1960, Ohman accompanied the local reality from unconventional and anti-hegemonic perspectives. The book traces his trails and journeys to the events and communities that called for his attention and his camera demonstrations, refugees, revolutions and protests in the public sphere, in Israel and around the world. Between documentary and social photographer, Ohman was driven by his deep sense of solidarity with human society and sensitivity to social justice. This book unfolds the history of the Israeli left protest and resistance, its highpoints and shortcomings, as captured by Ohman's lens."-- Back cover.
