- Contains 24 8-page sections, the first being 'Smollett's celebrated ode to independence', all sections originally issued separately.
- In this second issue of volume 1, the titlepage lacks the motto "Delicia Musarum." and the Advertisement to the reader is on a separate leaf.
- In the contents, 'Dr. Smollet's ode to Leven water' is omitted, and three other verses are included that are not in the first issue of volume one: 'Ode to memory', 'Sonnet on the departure of the nightingale' and 'Sonnet to spring'.
- 22 of the parts are of a different edition from those in the first issue.
