Not in fact by Thomas Phayer, but by Nicolas de Houssemaine. The original French version was published in the sixteenth century with several editions of Jean Goeurot's 'Sommaire et entretènement de vie'; Phayer published the translation of both works as 'The regiment of life, wherunto is added a treatise of the pestilence', and made several additions.
