This effectively forms "Vol. 1, Part I" of a two volume set in four parts , the other three parts comprising no. 47 to no. 218 of Bingley's continuation of 'The North Briton' collected with added title pages bearing the title: 'The North Briton continued by several hands', Vol. 1, Part II to Vol. II, Part II.

The text and register are continuous, despite the pagination.
