- Editor: Thomas Howes.
- "To be published occasionally."
- Most imprints include year of publication.
- Imprints vary; no. 2-10 and imprint for v. II title page reads: "Sold by B. White, in Fleet-Street"; no. 11 reads: "printed by E. Cox and Son, and sold by B. White"; issues printed after 1800 read in part: "printed by Cox, Son, and Baylis; and sold by B. White."
- Some copies seem to have been bound so as to compile volumes with varying contents, however the pagination in each number indicates four issues per volume in vols. [1]-2. Volumes 3 and 4 were apparently intended to be combined; together they include issues 9-13, with two adde appendices.
- Table of contents in each volume is not necessarily related to the actual contents of copies seen. It is not clear whether irregularities in compilation are due to the binder, the order of printing, or some other plan.
- Each volume has continuous pagination and text regardless of the order of individual numbers included.
- Volumes are identified by numbers in the direction line of each issue; vols. 1 and 3 appear to lack general title pages.
- Includes discussion on etymology of some Welsh words, but is primarily concerned with biblical and historical chronology; criticizes the works of other commentators on biblical and historical texts. A pamphlet with the divisional title: "A discourse on the abuse of the talen of disputation in religion, ... by Thomas Howes" follows the title page of no. 9 and is paginated with the text which follows (cf. L copy).
- Reproduction of original from British Library.
- Vols. 3 and 4 have two appendices each.
- Issues lack chronological designation; dated from imprints.
- Volume numbering begins with vol. II; vol. III. according to a note on the titlepage of no. 9, incorporates vol. IV.
- Frequency of individual issues appears to be annual through no. 8; no. 9-11 and the appendices to v. 3 and 4 were issued from 1784-1800.
