- This journal is aimed at both male and female shop workers, contains trade union news and updates, as well as stories, notes on pastimes (such as film reviews), and more general news on Germany and the war. Includes articles and opinion pieces from prominent businessmen in retail, including H. G. Selfridge Jnr. Readers are implored to write to their MP in support of bills to cap working hours, and there are articles on how to make the average shop worker wage stretch. There are also plenty of opinion pieces on 'shop girl' behaviour.
