Containing, An Account of his Birth of his Behaviour and Actions from the Time of the Revolution to his Flight into France; his Gallantries in Ireland and Flanders; some Secrets relating to his Conduct, after he was made Commander in Chief of Queen Anne's Forces, in the Room of the late D. of Marlborough; and the Motives by which he was dup'd by the Lord Bolingbroke, then Secretary of State; also the Particulars of his being impeach'd of High Treason, and other High Crimes and Misdemeanors; and the Speeches in his Behalf, made on Tuesday the 21st of June 1715, in the House of Commons, by Archibald Hutchinson, Esq; Sir Joseph Jekyll, Master of the Rolls, the Generals Ross and Lumley, Sir William Wyndham, Tho. Onslow, Esq; Mr. Ward, Mr. Hungerford, &c. In which is intersper'd the Discourse that passed between his then Grace of Ormonde and Dr. Atterbury, at that Time Bishop of Rochester, at Richmond, on the 20th of July 1715, when the Duke was signing a Letter of Submission to his late Majesty; and the Reasons laid down by the Bishop, in order to dissuade him from the same.
