The Original or Greek text amended according to the Best and most Ancient Readings. II. The common English translation render'd more agreeable to the original. III. A paraphrase, wherein not only the Difficult Expressions and Passages are explain'd; but also Each Gospel is divided into Proper Sections and Paragraphs; and withall it is observ'd, What Gaps or Omissions are in each Gospel, and how Supply'd by some other Gospel; and what Passages are not plac'd Aright as to Order of Time. To the End of the Paraphrase is subjoin'd a Synopsis of the Contents of Each Gospel. IV Annotations relating (as Occasion requires) to the Several Particulars afore-mention'd. By Edward Wells D. D.
