Vols. 1-3 dated 1778; vols.4-5, 7-9, and 11-15 dated 1779; vols. 16-24, and 26-28 dated 1780; vols. 29-34 dated 1781; vols. 6, 10 and 35 are from the 1761-65 edition, dated respectively 1761, 1762 and 1765 (the imprint date given as MDCCLLXV); vol. 25 dated 1761.
Vols. 25-31 comprise the 7 vol. dramatic works, each vol. having the appropriate volume number from I to VII in the direction line, and are reissues of the 1761-63 'The dramatic works of Mr. de Voltaire', all (except vol. 25) having cancel titlepages reading 'The works of M. de Voltaire'.
Vol. 35 is numbered 'Volume the twenty-fifth' on the titlepage; the half-title includes: 'Vol.XXXV. Being vol.XXV. of his prose works.'.
