In three parts, each with separate pagination and register.
With a list of subscribers and a list of road acts etc. whose titles were omitted in the table of contents to the eighth volume.
Intended to accompany an earlier eight volume work entitled: 'The statutes at large from Magna Charta to the end of the last parliament 1761' by Ruffhead, London 1763-64. An 'Advertisement' in vol.8 announces that "at the request of many of the subscribers" the series would b brought up to date and completed by a ninth volume.
Vol.9 contains an index to the 9 vols. and an appendix and concludes:" The end of the ninth and last volume.
Subsequently another 9 vols. were published to continue the series to 1800.
The edition statements in vols.15-18 of Ruffhead's edition describe them also as vols.11-14 of the edition of 'Statutes at large' edited by Runnington.
