- La'in is the second book in the "Zayandeh Rood" series. The first book in this series, Sabt, deals with the days of Ahmad and Afsaneh Abrishami in the eventful autumn of 1957. La'in, however, tells the story of the adolescence and youth of a new character named Nima Esfandiari. Nima, along with her teammates, gets caught in a cold hell while in a sports camp. This trap coincides with another journey. An inner journey which Nima steps into the world of repressed and imprisoned desires and wishes in. The labyrinth that Nima has stepped into is full of mental and objective obstacles. Sometimes she is even forced to fight demons who have blocked her path. It is as if during the struggles and after each hardship she goes through, a new light is lit at her feet. The destination is still dark and invisible... but Yalda's constant presence and absence may be her guide.
