- Summary:
- This book is published in conjunction with the 2024 exhibition of his work in Buenos Aires, curated by Ataúlfo Pérez Azna. An exhibition plus an exhaustive book, compile five decades of the photographer's work. He was in all (the newsrooms) and today he is an undisputed classic of Argentine photojournalism.Eduardo Grossman was able to interpret the recovery of the democratic spirit in daily life, in the mood and temperament of the people. He entered the press in the early 70s spontaneously and independently. Thus, he was part of areas that later became emblematic within photojournalism. From rock figures such as León Gieco, Charly García and Federico Moura (to name a few), to figures in the visual arts who, in some cases, were little known, such as the emblematic Federico Manuel Peralta Ramos. He also captured the great portrait of Carlos Alonso, showing all the strength that he expressed in his works. In addition, he immortalized Atahualpa Yupanqui and created a fantastic portrait of the "Polaco" Roberto Goyeneche, set like the image of a painting about him. In his extensive work, he also addressed political reality, highlighting the military uprising of Holy Week in 1987 and the visit of John Paul II to Argentina that same year.
