Summary:
The French-born poet and painter Alice Rahon (Chenecey-Buillon, France 1904 - Mexico City 1987) settled in Mexico in 1939 where she began and developed all her artistic production. Her work was characterized by suggestive representations, giving great attention to color and materiality, self-describing her surrealist paintings with the term "impressions" while she never identified her artwork as abstract. Curated by Daniel Garza Usabiaga, the exhibition pays special attention to her representations of the natural world, particularly his landscapes.
