In a kind of prologue, the author delves into the time of the "Rupture" (that takes place between 1952 and 1973) as a context marked by espionage, assassinations, political persecutions, American paranoia, the atomic bomb and the invasions of Latin America, among other violences that affected and motivated the artists to create art for the people, with a political and social message.
