From the Colton Storm catalogue: "Agreement for a meeting between Aaron Burr and Acting Governor Cowles Meade and for the safety of the two principals and their parties. Signed for Governor Meade by W.B. Shields and G. Poindexter, by Aaron Burr for himself, and by Thomas Fitzgerald as witness. Burr was in flight after the fall of Blennerhasset's Island. The result of the meeting arranged above was Burr's appearance before Judge Rodney who bound him over for action by a Grand Jury."
