- From the Colton Storm catalogue: "A letter to Old Bill Williams, in which the writer regrets missing him in St. Louis. He speaks also of planning a trip to Salt Lake. Following the letter and preceeding a postscript is a sight draft for forty-five dollars drawn on Thomas Smith by Bethuel Dodd in favor of Bill Williams. The postscript mentions Peg[leg] Smith as being at Bent's Fort."
